Although there are hundreds of dogs available for adoption and browsing online can be overwhelming, you’ll only get alerts of the exact dog you are looking for. Once we find your match, you get an email.

And at that point, if you meet their criteria, the process is then a “first come, first serve” situation, and you’ll be the first to know! So you just need to decide which one you want to apply for.

And if you are on one of these three cases, please, go to Dogs Trust (as the biggest dog rescue in the country) and check by yourself how many are available at the moment that can live with kids, dogs or cats.

How can I create an alert?
Is the The Right Dog alert system FREE to join?
Yes! You can become part of The Right Dog alert system for FREE and receive an email alert every time the dog you want is available for adoption. And for as long as you are looking for them!
Does it cover all the UK?
If you are looking to adopt a rescue dog in the UK, at the moment we only cover England, Wales and parts of Scotland. Unfortunately, we cannot provide alerts in Northern Ireland.
Which dog rescues are included in your database?
We are adding more weekly, but currently we provide alerts of dogs from Dogs Trust, RSPCA, Blue Cross, Battersea and Woodgreen. Do you have any particular dog rescue that you would like us to add? If that is your case, please, contact us at cristina@therightdog.co.uk and we will do our best to add it soon.
How may emails will I receive?
We will send you as many emails and as soon as a dog that meets your requirements is ready to be adopted. Although, it will depend on your criteria and how specific your search is, the amount of alerts you will receive. But rest assured, we will let you know if we have a match.
I’ve signed up, but I’m not receiving emails?
The best way to make sure you receive our emails is by adding our email address (cristina@therightdog.co.uk) to your address book. Once that is done, then you can check if they’re hiding in your spam folder. But if there’s still no sign, email us at cristina@therightdog.co.uk and we’ll sort it out.
I found my rescue dog thanks to this. How can I return the favour?
Congratulations! We are so happy to be of help! And if you found us useful, we would love for you to share The Right Dog alert system with your friends and family. We’re changing the adoption process one dog at a time! Oh, and send us a picture of your new dog! We want to know everything about your happy ending.
I no longer need my alert, how do I unsubscribe?
You can just eliminate your alert and we will stop sending you more. If you want to completely delete your account, send us an email to cristina@therightdog.co.uk, and we’ll sort it out.
Can you help me get The Right Dog for me?
Sure! Why not book a 121 with me, where we will discuss everything that you are looking for on your new dog. Give me 48 hours to search for them and I’ll find you up to 3 dogs that not only will meet your specific criteria, but for whom you’ll be their IDEAL candidate. So, not only will the rescues be eager to contact you once you apply, but also you will take home The Right Dog for you and your family. How does it sound?
